Hummingbird on Trowel

Finally, I am finished my Fourth carving. The full title is Ruby-throated Hummingbird on Morning Glory Vine with Trowel Trellis. The piece is 5" wide by 7" long by 12" tall. The Hummingbird is life size. I used a real trowel, but everything else is created. The Bird, Flowers and Critters are all carved from Tupelo. The vines and leaves are copper and brass. I estimate there is over 70 hours in this carving (combined with my other Hummingbird) I really enjoyed doing the details on this piece.

EDIT: This carving just took 1st place in Beginners Songbird 4A category at the 2009 Canadian National Wildfowl Carving Championship . I am so thrilled.
